Antonina Shevchenko

Antonina Shchenko is an Kyrgyzstani Muay Thay champion. She currently competes within the UFC Flyweight division. She is older than fellow UFC fighter and former UFC Flyweight Champion Valentina Shevchenko. Antonina Shevchenko's combat sport career started out in the form of a Muay Thai competitor. Shevchenko debuted on the IFMA World Championship Tournament in 2003. Shevchenko took the title after which she defeated Suzane Mller with a majority vote. Antonina won a medal of silver in 2007, an award of bronze in 2008, and a gold medal with gold in 2011. She was also crowned IFMA World Amateur Muay Thailand Champion 2016 by the IFMA. Antonia was a professional who started her professional career in 2003, was crowned in 2012 and 2016 the Lion Fight Lightweight Championships. In 2016, the WMC World Championships were also staged in 2016, and she took home the 2016 IFMA Amateur Muay Thai World Champion. Antonina last fought against Isa Tidblad Kskikangas at the Phoenix Fighting Championship. The winner was a unanimity. Shevchenko took a short absence from MMA and concentrated on her kickboxing. Shevchenko made her comeback in 2017 when she fought Anissa Diddaoui. Shevchenko won Anissa Haddaoui by an unanimous decision. She then beat Valerie Domergue, at Phoenix FC 4, by a unanimous decision. In 2018, she resigned from the contest and started participating in Dana White's Contender Series. Shevchenko took on Jaimelene Nievera on Dana White Tuesday Night Contender Series 11. Antonina utilized her striking abilities to TKO Nievera in the clinch by knees on the body. Following this victory, Antonina received a UFC contract. Antonina made her UFC debut during the TUF Heavy Hhitters Finale, in a fight against Ji Yeon Kim. Shevchenko defeated Roxanne Modafferi in a split-decision fight following her first fight by an unanimous decision. Antonina was able to bounce back from the loss, and defeated Lucie Pudilova on UFC on ESPN Covington vs. Lawler via second-round rear-naked choke and won the prize of the night in the fight. Shevchenko was 1-2 over her next 3 fights. She defeated Ariane Lipski but lost to Katlyn Chokagian as well as Andrea Lee.
