Anne Burrell
Anne W. Burrell has been a chef, television personality in the United States as well as an instructor at the Institute of Culinary Education. She hosts the Food Network's Secrets of a Restaurant Chef, and is also the co-host of Worst Cooks in America. Anne Burrell, a Food Network presenter with her distinctive long, blonde hair with a bubbly personality, reveals simple to learn techniques and eliminates intimidation of restaurants dishes in her show Secrets of a Restaurant. Chef Burrell is also a seasoned veteran of New York City's best restaurants. She has also learned about Italy's food traditions and the culture of Italy, as well as the geography. Growing up in upstate New York, Chef Burrell developed a passion for food and cooking from an early age. The Culinary Institute of America is where she enrolled following her graduation with an English degree and a Communications certificate at Canisius College Buffalo NY. She states "I loved being a Culinary Institute of America student. I loved every minute of it." It was hard to study how to do, or even work hard enough. When I graduated at the Italian Culinary Institute for Foreigners and chef Burrell spent an entire year in Italy learning and working in La Taverna del Lupo restaurant located in Umbria as well as La Bottega del 30 one Michelin star restaurant in Tuscany. While in Italy she came to be aware of the philosophy of Italian food and culture that left a lasting impact from a culinary perspective. Burrell is a celebrity ambassador to the Juvenile Diabetic Research Foundation. She also was a part of the Garden of Dreams Foundation Advisory Board that assists children with obstacles. Burrell speaks on her culinary passion, and also shares her expertise in the culinary world when she goes on trips across the USA in various roles such as mentors and speakers. Anne has always been grateful she had the opportunity to share her love that she had for sharing her cooking skills with other people.
