Alinity was included in a lawsuit filed against Twitch. Erik Estavillo, a Twitch user from California made a complaint to the civil court seeking $25 million in damages from Twitch because they exposed them to "overly explicit and sexually explicit content by female streamers" as they browsed the site. Based on court papers obtained by Dexerto the plaintiff who had previously filed suit against Microsoft, Sony, Nintendo and Blizzard Entertainment, presented an official complaint to the court on June 15 seeking a lawsuit. Twitch was served an official summons on June 19. Estavillo, according to the Santa Clara Superior Court of California complaint filed, suffers from a number of medical ailments that make him to use the Internet to enjoy his leisure. Also, he has an obsessive-compulsive disorder as well as an addiction to drugs and alcohol. According to the lawsuit, Twitch makes these issues more severe. The complaint continued to identify a variety of female streamers that it says "continues to show viewers who simply want to watch players playing games on Twitch, but instead get exposed to addictive sexual content and material on a continuous and frequent basis." Alinity was not listed. In its request for relief, it is seeking to ban streamers for life who violated Twitch ToS. $25 million in compensation is sought, "to be divided between plaintiff and the other Twitch primary Turbo subscribers" with the remainder being donated to charitable organizations.
